They should be considered for applications requiring a high duty cycle or a medical device that requires high reliability. They are not susceptible to brush oxidation/corrosion issues commonly associated with motors that have brushes. BLDC vibration motors are more costly than brushed types since they incorporate a driver IC. Due to the motor’s internal IC driver, voltage polarity must be observed when applying power.
