The longitudinal linear motor can only vibrate along the z-axis. The vibration stroke of the motor is short, the vibration force is weak, and the vibration duration is short.Although longitudinal linear motor has certain performance improvement compared with rotor motor, it is still not the best choice for mobile phone motor.
In order to overcome the above shortcomings of longitudinal linear motor, transverse linear motor should be put into operation.
The lateral linear motor can vibrate along the X and Y axes. The motor has a long vibration stroke, fast starting speed and controllable vibration direction. It is more compact in structure and more conducive to reducing the thickness of the phone body.
Currently, the flagship phone is more of a lateral linear motor, which is used by the OnePlus7 Pro Haptic vibration motor.
